- זְקַרch. sam( Nif. נִזְקָר, Nithpa. נִזְדַּקֵּר to be thrown; to leap, to stagger), Ithpa. אִזְדַּקֵּר to leap forth, to leap with jog; to stagger, reel. Gitt.57a אִזְדַּקּוּרוכ׳ they leaped and ate and drank. Nidd.17b אִזְדַּקְּרָה she staggered, jumped backward; ib. 57b.Lev. R. s. 5 (ref. to Is. 22:17, v. גֶּבֶר) כהדא תרנגולא … מִזְדַּקֵּר Ar. (in ed. a. Yalk. Is. 291 our w. omitted) like a (slaughtered) cock that rolls from place to place in spasmodic thrusts.
